Fred Gautier Lugo is an Associate of the Firm who is part of the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group and Employment Law Practice Group. Mr. Gautier Lugo has a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law; a Master’s Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico; and a Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor campus. He is admitted to practice law before the Courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
Mr. Gautier Lugo has substantial experience as a Human Resources executive and consultant, and has worked for various multinational companies in both Puerto Rico and the United States in the banking, financial, insurance, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries. He is well acquainted with local and federal labor laws and internal company practices. He has handled employment discrimination and harassment claims; wrongful dismissal claims; wages and benefits claims; performed sexual harassment investigations; drafted and updated employee manuals, policies and affirmative action plans; as well as provided counseling in other human resources related matters. Areas of practice include: labor and employment law, general civil and commercial litigation, immigration law, bankruptcy law and notary law.
